There may be times when your organization would like to gather an initial interest list. We've got you covered!
The best way to accomplish this is to utilize our Tracks and Pipelines. Let's walk through the set-up and how it might look.
You will want to navigate to Tracks and select "New Track".
Next, you will want to give your Track a Name (something like "Initial Interest in Serving" would be appropriate) and possibly a description - this is displayed on the Track Homepage.
Now, you will want to create a Pipeline to use your Track within. Navigate to Pipeline, and select "New Pipeline".
You will now build the stages of your Pipeline. For an Interest Pipeline, we recommend giving a title that corresponds to the purpose of your Track/Pipeline (something like "Short Term Serving Interest"). Next, you want to add "Stages". The first Stage in your Pipeline is the "Initial Interest" - this is where people will be entered into the Pipeline when the complete the "Initial Interest Form" in your Track (we'll come back to that in just a bit!). You may also want to add "Stages" such as "Coaching and Prep", "Ready to Fundraise", "Ready to Serve", or "No Longer Interest". For more information on Pipelines, check out this article.
Let's go back over to your Track to connect it to your new Pipeline. Navigating to the Track Settings, you have many settings that you can control. At a minimum (and really, all you need for an Interest Track), would be to Select the Pipeline you want to add subscribers to (select the Pipeline you just created), and choose which stage you want subscribers added to within the above Pipeline (Initial Interest - or your first stage in your Pipeline). You may choose to add media, set privacy settings, and choose your custom categories before finishing this portion of the General Configuration.
Lastly, you will want to add a Task to the Track for people to complete an Interest Form. If you haven't already created an "Interest Form" under your Form Templates, take some time to do that. Not sure how to create a form? Check out this article.
Once you have a Interest Form, you are ready to add your Track Task. Within your Track, select Tasks and then Form.
Give your Task a name and description:
Add your Interest Form and check the box to Use as onboarding form for track. (By selecting this box, you will gather the First Name, Last Name and Email address for the user - if this is all you want to gather, you could choose not to use a "Interest Form" at all and only gather this information).
You now have a direct link available to either send to participants or add to your church/organization's website!
