Full Registration vs. Simple Registration

Determining what type of sign up to use for your Opportunity is important.

ServiceReef encourages you to use the Full Registration and account creation process in most cases as this is where you will gather meaningful information on those serving with you and give you the ability to stay in contact with them through the various tools.

Some events may warrant very little information on your participants. For example, an hour long serving opportunity on a Saturday morning. Simple Registration gives you the option to choose minimal fields to apply for the opportunity though the user DOES NOT create an account in this process. What this means, is that the user has no way to sign into their account if they need to do any additional tasks on ServiceReef. Again, this is a great option for hour long serving opportunities or mass signup serving opportunities, but is not recommended for an Opportunity where additional information will be collected or ongoing communication needs to happen.

Note: Individuals who do sign up through a Simple Registration event can complete their profile at a later date.

Note: Users who already have an account and are signed in will bypass the Simple Registration
