Opportunity Management & Search (Backend)

The Opportunities directory page allows you the tools to manage all of your opportunities and search for others that you manage.  Here are a few features you will find:

  • Search Field - search by event name or title
  • Filter - filter your search by active, archived, etc.
  • Stats - view stats for each of your events (date, registrations, approvals awaiting a response, etc.)
  • Actions - manage opportunity, view public page, clone opportunity, unpublish, cancel, or postpone an opportunity
    • Manage Opportunity: If you need to edit the opportunity in any way this is where you would do that
    • View Public Page: This will show you the page that participants will see when viewing the Opportunity
    • Clone Opportunity: You have the ability to clone the Opportunity for a quick and easy way to duplicate Opportunities that may be reoccurring or only require slight editing.
    • Unpublish: This tool gives you the ability to move the Opportunity into "draft" status. Nothing is lost in terms of participant data and fundraising when editing (the exception to this is if you edit/delete forms or tasks that have already been completed).
    • Cancel: If the Opportunity is no longer needed or cannot be held you are able to cancel the Opportunity. The Opportunity will remain on your dashboard under "cancelled" status.
    • Postpone an Opportunity: If an Opportunity will still be happening but the date is not set, you can Postpone the Opportunity. This gives you the ability to resume the Opportunity when the details you need to send your team have been ironed out.

To view all of your Opportunities you can filter by status or by date.

  • Status: Draft, Published, Postponed, & Cancelled
  • Filter by date: Upcoming, All, Past, & Custom

In the Participant view, Opportunities default to "Sort by relevant". This means that the most recently created Opportunity appears at the top.  If a participant sorts by chooses to "Sort by date" the Ongoing trips will raise to the top, followed by the Fixed Dates that will happen soonest.
