If someone ever needs to change their application question, you might be tempted to just think "I'll change it for them." ServiceReef doesn't allow this for a very intentional reason: We want to protect you in case something terrible should happen in the field.
Thankfully, this is a rare occurrence, but if the application question could be changed, then it would potentially get sticky as to "who changed the answer" and if the applicant was truthful on the application or it was changed on their behalf later.
Therefore, we make it easy for the applicant themselves to go back through. To do this, from the Participant Actions drop down, select the option for "Update Status"
This will provide a pop-up to select which status you would like to change it to. Select "Draft" to allow the participant to go back through the application. Don't worry... all of their previous answers are saved at this point, so they can just click "Next" until they get to the question(s) they need to change. Additionally, you will note the text that says this process by-passes all of the built-in functionality (like email notifications, charging application fees, etc.) so make sure you have already collected what you needed prior to changing the status in this fashion.
Once complete, they can re-submit and you can use this same functionality to change their status back to Approved (or just click the "Approve" option). This keeps a clear ownership on the data within the application and makes it easy for you and the applicant to handle this situation if/when it arrives.
