Postponing an Opportunity

ServiceReef offers the opportunity to postpone a short term trip should you ever need to do this.

Canceling a trip (existing functionality) will move the trip to the "Cancelled Trips" view, stop sending all scheduled reminders for tasks, goals, and meetings, and closeout all incoming donations for that trip. It will also deactivate the trip and remove the trip from your public page. 

Postponing a trip (new functionality)  will give you the option to suspend online donations, update the trip description to indicate postponement of travel, and will stop the sending of all scheduled reminders for tasks, goals, and meetings. Postponed trips will still be considered an active trip and will still appear on the public page.

Step 1 -Postpone the Trip

Locate your trip list and click on the Actions drop-down button

NOTE: Trip status on this page will change to "Postponed" once you postpone the trip.  You can resume the opportunity at any point here as well.

Step 2 - Configure Messaging & Settings

Enter an optional custom message, disable the application, disable donations, and add custom help text to explain the postponement.  

The public page will show a trip as postponed (see image).
